1. Castles & Historic Venues

Scotland is renowned for its stunning castles, many of which are available for weddings. These venues offer a fairy-tale setting with grand halls, turrets, and stunning grounds. I have been lucky enough to photograph weddings in all these stunning castles and the atmosphere is amazing in each of them. All have a romantic feel with gorgeous light and feel like you have stepped back in time.

Boturich castle (Loch Lomond)

My top favourite is the stunning Boturich Castle. Boturich is a beautiful wedding venue located on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland. Here are some reasons why couples should consider Boturich Castle for their wedding.

Scenic Location: on the shores of Loch Lomond, Boturich Castle offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the tranquil waters of the loch and the picturesque hills of the Trossachs National Park. 2. Highlands & Remote Escapes

For couples seeking breathtaking landscapes, the Scottish Highlands provide the ultimate romantic and rugged setting.

One of the great things about getting married in Scotland is that you can have a legal wedding almost anywhere, as long as a registered celebrant conducts the ceremony. Whether it’s on top of a mountain, by a loch, or in a grand castle, Scotland offers incredible flexibility.

GLENCOE (THE HIGHLANDS)

Eloping in Glencoe is an incredible choice for couples seeking a dramatic and intimate wedding experience. With its rugged mountains, vast moorlands, and breathtaking lochs, Glencoe offers a stunning backdrop for a romantic, private ceremony.

Why Choose Glencoe for Your Elopement?

Epic Scenery – The towering peaks of the Three Sisters, the sweeping valleys, and the wild beauty of Rannoch Moor make for an unforgettable setting.

  1. Secluded Locations – Whether you want a quiet spot by a loch, a dramatic mountain ridge, or a mystical woodland, there are endless locations to choose from.

  2. All-Weather Beauty – Scotland’s unpredictable weather only adds to the magic—misty mornings, moody clouds, or golden sunsets all create stunning atmospheres.

  3. Adventure & Romance – If you and your partner love the outdoors, Glencoe offers hiking, wild swimming, and even cosy stays in remote cottages or luxury lodges.

  4. Legal Simplicity – Scotland allows outdoor ceremonies with legal standing, meaning you can get married pretty much anywhere with a registered celebrant.
